I was approached by Manual for Speed to work as an artist-in-residence across their Summer range of apparel. Manual for Speed's contemporary and fresh approach to cycling journalism trickled down into the briefing for the residency. The general approach was to move away from cycling gear resembling billboards, covered with branding but instead apply artwork which was inspired by the sport itself.
There were few constraints and the brief became an open question: What does a peloton look like whizzing past?
